03 Jun 2023 Adopt A Highway Road Clean Up Jun 03, 2023 10:00 AM It is official, we have adopted the south side of State Route 104 from the Hardware Store to Rite Aid at George’s Corner or as WSDOT states: from Milepost 24.10 (Bannister St) to Milepost 22.10 (next to the Starbucks + Rite-Aid). The first clean up is proposed on Saturday 3 June. We could rally at the parking lot by the Hardware Store and more importantly Borrowed Kitchen Bakery at 10:00am (I will have some treats). I will have reflective vests, road signs, durable trash bags, picks (there is a max of 5 per group, so if you have one that would be great), and hard hats for our group. You will need to: Let me know if you are interested, so I can get the appropriate PPE equipment from WSDOT. However, we would never turn away a last minute volunteer. There is a form to read and sign, see attached file Participant Registration Form. I will also have paper copies at the rally point. I will collect these or you can email back to me. You should have gloves (I will have a few extra pairs), wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt and thick-soled boots or shoes (no flip-flops). We will disburse teams via car pools and should be able to make a significant impact in cleaning up this stretch of highway in short order. The road really needs to be cleaned up and will be worse after the Memorial Day weekend. This is a way to make Kingston and the gateway to Kitsap County presentable.

Adopt A Highway Road Clean Up
