The first, second and fourth Wednesday of each month, we meet at noon. The third Wednesday of each month we meet at 6:30. Satellite meets in the evenings once a month.

Project Scope:  Repair trail entrance to mitigate mud and increase trail drainage.  Clear trail of trash and encroaching brush.  Remove invasive holly and ivy.

What to Bring: Shovel, rake, handsaw, loppers, and close-toed shoes. Specialized tools and equipment will be provided by County.

Where to Meet: South trail entrance with parking by Kingston High School Football Field Parking.

Dear Fellow Rotarians and Interested Volunteers,

We cleanup the south side of State Route 104 from the Hardware Store to Rite Aid at George’s Corner or as WSDOT states: from Milepost 24.10 (Bannister St) to Milepost 22.10 (next to the Starbucks + Rite-Aid).  Feel free to invite others.

We rally at the parking lot by the Henery Hardware Store and more importantly Borrowed Kitchen Bakery at 10:00am.  I will have reflective vests, road signs, durable trash bags, picks.
 
You will need to:

Let me know if you are interested, so I can get the appropriate PPE equipment from WSDOT.  However, we would never turn away a last minute volunteer.  We will have a sign-up list at the next meeting.
If you have not done so already please watch the safety video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBxIh67-l74.  It is short and "slightly entertaining".
There is a form to read and sign.  I hope that the form is attached to this email, but will have paper copies at the rally point.  I will collect these or you can email back to me.
There is also a safety tips write-up to read.
You should have gloves (I will have a few extra pairs), wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt and thick-soled boots or shoes (no flip-flops).

 
We will disburse teams via car pools and should be able to make a significant impact in cleaning up this stretch of highway in short order.
 
As always, the road really needs to be cleaned up.
 
This is a way to make Kingston and the gateway to Kitsap County presentable.
