Career Information Day

Kingston Middle School Career Information Day

January 30, 2014 !

The Kingston and Poulsbo Rotary clubs are again sponsoring a Career Information Day at the

Kingston Middle School on January 30, 2014, from 7:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. !

Volunteer Rotarians representing various career fields and professions will make three 20 minute

presentations to groups of 15-20 students providing general information about their career field

and answering questions from the students. !

Below are the career fields to be represented: !

• Athlete – professional player, sports medicine, personal trainer, athletic director

• Scientist – marine biologist, archaeologist, anthropologist, astronomer, genetic engineer

• Medical – EMT, doctor, nurse, dentist, dental hygienist, physical therapist

• Engineer – mechanic, civil, aerospace

• Journalist – writer, editor, publisher, novelist

• Money Management – banker, insurance broker, financial advisor

• Teacher – classroom, special education, college professor

• Artist – photographer, video game, film, make-up, cosmetologist

• Computers (IT) – computer programmer, engineers, software developers, game designer

• Architect – interior designer

• Lawyer – paralegal, legal secretary

• Policeman – officer, detective, forensics (CSI)

• Firefighter

• Military

• Culinary – chef, caterer

• Fishing, hunting guide

• Animal care – veterinarian, trainer

• Business owner – retail, restaurant

• Social worker – Fishline, Boy Scouts !

We would like at least one Rotarian in each career field category to participate. You are welcome

to volunteer if you are currently or have at some point in the past been involved in one of the

above career fields. !

If you would like to volunteer, please email Isaac Anderson at isaac_mobile@mac.com, and

indicate the career field you would like to represent. After we receive a complete list of potential

volunteers, we will decide on the participants and let you know. !
