ImageOur new District 5020 Governor, Pete Taylor of Tacoma #8 spent the better part of his day with Kingston Rotary and Staff today, passed on news and views from Rotary International and equally importantly listened attentively to President Meisha, the Board and our Club members as we bragged incessantly on our fantastic little Club.  Thanks for listening, Pete!

One of Pete's news items was the logic for his choice of Whistler for the District Conference next May. As Whistler is outside the District, that has puzzled some 5020 Rotarians.  But Pete's logic was crystal clear and I'm sure attendance at next year's JOINT District Conference at this excellent venue should be well up over the norm.  Well done and thanks for your time, Mr. Governor.  Please come back soon. And you ARE invited to our 10th Anniversary Party - it'll be in the mail.  Save the date!

Pete spent almost an hour prior to the meeting touring some of KNK Rotary's major local projects, and was extremely complimentary about the efforts of the Little City Club.  Above is he, President Meisha, and Village Green Board Rotarian stalwarts Nick and Bobbie admiring the Rea Mowery KNK Rotary Pavilion.

Image Finally, DG Pete presented a new Rotary Award, the Rotarian "Energizer Bunny" award for inexhaustible energy and enthusiasm to Nick Jewett - and the house was unanimous in agreement that this was the RIGHT award to the right guy!  Well done, Nick!

Thanks again for everything, Governor Pete!  Come back soon...
