Kingston North Kitsap Rotarians, Rotary High School Club Members, and others "swept" Bond Road of litter, Saturday, Oct 12.

The Saturday morning smiles on the faces of the Kingston Rotarians, Interact/Key Club students and other volunteers was not just from the beautiful October weather.  The once a season Highway 104 Clean-Up Party organized by Rotarian Tim Carr, makes the whole community feel better.  The twenty-six bags of trash collected goes a long way to helping us appreciate the beauty of our North Kitsap area.  Approximately 20 volunteers removed the litter and vehicle parts on the south side of the two-mile section of highway from Lindvog Road to Striebels Corner.   The Rotarians also appreciate that the Highway’s North side for one mile is cleaned by another group, but the second mile is needing an organization to volunteer to clean.  In fact, both the State and County will assist in organizations or community members to adopt a section of road to show some TLC.  Join the effort, and even if the sun is not out, the clean-up effort will bring a smile on your face.
