Santa rode in with a sleigh full of fun, not-so-white-elephant gifts, and annual awards at the Kingston North Kitsap Rotary Club's annual holiday party at Kingston's Village Green Community Center Dec 15.The white elephant gift exchange yielded some real treasures, as conducted by Sheriff, and Club President-Elect, Jackie Wood.
Immediate Past President Walt Elliott awarded Club honors to several members, who, during Walt's term distinguished themselves.  David and Rae Winn were honored with the Rea Mowry Fellowship Award, named in honor of a longtime, and influential, Club member. Rae and David received their award from Elliott.
Ron Carter received the President's Service Award for his role handling Club communication.
The most prestigious of awards, Rotarian of the Year, went to Doug Hallock for his enduring efforts and significant accomplishment leading the renovation of the Scout Hall in Kingston.  The Kingston North Kitsap Rotary Club sponsors Scouts and the Scout Hall.
The holiday party served as the Club's last official meeting of 2021, a year that began virtually, in terms of meeting conduct, and ended with fully-vaccinated, maskless, happy Rotarians sharing and celebrating what they do best:  have fun and friendship, while making the community, and the world, a better place.  Thanks to Walt Elliott and current President Chris Gilbreath for their leadership throughout the year.  The list of Club good is long and lasting.
