Kingston Community Survey

When you are in the Kingston area, where do you hang out on week-ends or after 6 pm?   What would you like to see in downtown Kingston?  What would you like downtown Kingston to be known for?  We want to know what you think about these questions and a few more in a survey beginning on October 1 and continuing for 2 weeks. Look for the QR code around town to directly access the survey on your mobile device or log directly into the website at www.TellKingston.com.  You can also stop by the Kingston Chamber of Commerce at 11201 NE State Highway 104 to fill out a paper survey.

The survey, by the Greater Kingston Economic Development Council (GKEDC), is designed to gather information from both residents and visitors to Kingston so that we may better serve the interests of both groups.  The purpose of the survey is to identify potential next steps in the pursuit of sustainable economic vitality for Kingston.

Educational Video Seminars

The GKEDC is offering educational videos and discussions for the Kingston community about why branding is important and identification of the steps to successfully brand our community.  Roger Brooks, a premier destination development expert, will present his 2 part series on Community Branding during 4 sessions.  Part 1 can be viewed at the North Kitsap Fire and Rescue Station, 26642 Miller Bay Road NE, at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, September 24 and at the Firehouse Theater, 11171 NE State Highway 104, at 9 am on Friday, September 27.   Part 2 can be viewed at 9 am on Thursday, October 3 at the Firehouse Theater and at 9 am and at 6:30 pm at the North Kitsap Fire and Rescue Station.

The videos are part of a series of webinars created by Roger Brooks on Destination Development.  We thank Rick Bjarnson of the Kingston IGA for funding the All Access Pass allowing the GKEDC to have access to Brooks' entire video library.  The video is one hour followed by a discussion. The sessions are free and all community members are welcome.  No reservations are required.
