At their last meeting of the calendar year, Kingston North Kitsap Rotarians received an update from Brenda Wall on her Game Changer Project in Somalia, where hygiene kits and educational flip charts are provided to young girls to help with their menstrual needs and female education. Working in conjunction with international organization Days for Girls, Wall’s program has resulted in fourteen women sewing the kits - 800 per month - in Ethiopia for distribution through fifty schools. To date, 10,314 kits have been distributed, while 13,196 girls have been educated. Wall thanked Rotarians for their past support. At the conclusion of her presentation Chris Gilbreath, the Club’s International Committee chair, presented a $1500 check in furtherance of her continuing mission.
